Your face shows us what your Business is saying!

RIDDLE: “It costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

Answer: Smile

Everyone Is Watching!

Sponsored by: Teton Business Solutions

If your company needs staffing Teton is the business you should turn to for you staffing need. With our leadership having over35 years of experience we know that Teton can meet your company expectations.

Think back to all the miserable faces you see on the way to school or work each day.

Yet, when smiled at, these same people will most often smile in return.

Check out the following facts about smiling:

72% of people think of those who smile frequently as being more confident and successful.

86% of people say that they are more likely to strike up conversations with strangers if they are smiling.

Bosses are 12% more likely to promote people who smile a lot.

Research shows that 65% of communication is non-verbal (many claim an even higher percentage).

The effects of a smile are so powerful that even a smile on the telephone produces positive results.

When someone comes into a room, people are automatically drawn to their face, and a smile provides a warm greeting.

Research has shown that when two people in conversation use the same kind of body movements and gestures (such as smiling), they will experience greater empathy for each other, which they may not even consciously notice.

The Value of a Smile: Increased sales!!!

Does the uniform your employees wear include a smile?

We all have walked into a business only to have the person working the counter stare at us with the “What the heck do you want?” look.

It doesn’t make you comfortable and deep inside it makes you just want to get what you came for and get out.

I once moved to a city just because every 7-11 store (I’m a Slurpee junkie) I went into all had sales folks that smiled at me. Really, no kidding! I had been living in Miami and was feeling bad about how everyone there seemed to be so grouchy. The friendly service I found made me believe that everyone in that town was happy. And by god they were (for the most part)!

So what do your employees’ faces say to your customers?

Do you want to make increase sales, add on’s and impulse buys? Do you want customers returning to your business? Do you want the people that come into your business talk to their friends about how nice your place is?

Teach your employees to smile!

Tip number one:

Smile at your employees and they’ll smile too.

Teach your employee the importance of the “first impression”.

Have a short training time with your employees about appearance and its effect on customers.

8 Benefits of Outsourcing Payroll
And why you should be using Teton Business Solutions. http://www.tetonbusinesssolutions.com/

In my experience and investigation, small- and medium-size businesses outsource payroll most often for these important reasons:

1. Avoid IRS Penalties
According to the IRS, 40% of small businesses pay an average penalty of $845 per year for late or incorrect filings. Most national payroll services provide a tax guarantee, ensuring that customers will incur no penalties because the provider takes responsibility for penalties when they do occur. In many instances, this cost-saving immediately justifies outsourcing payroll.

2. Reduce Costs
The direct costs of processing payroll can be greatly reduced by working with a payroll provider. Our research indicates that a small business of 10 employees will typically spend $2,600 per year in direct labor costs associated with payroll.

3. Alleviate Pain
Payroll is a headache in the best case and a nightmare in the worst case. Business owners who outsource payroll eliminate a tiresome source of personal pain.

4. Record Keeping
Every record is at your finger tips. More importantly for business owners, this eliminates time-consuming and error-prone paper handling and the need to reconcile individual payroll checks every month.

5. Free Up Free Time
Payroll processing is a time-consuming process. Outsourcing payroll can free up staff time to pursue more important value-added and revenue-generating activities.

6. Avoid Technology Headaches
A constant question for small business owners is whether they have the latest version of their payroll software and the most recent tax tables installed on their computer. Using the wrong tax tables can result in stiff penalties. Outsourcing payroll removes those headaches and keeps payroll running smoothly.

7. Leverage Outside Payroll Expertise
Most business owners and controllers don't have time to keep up with constantly changing regulations, withholding rates, and government forms. By outsourcing payroll, a small business can take advantage of expertise that was previously available only to big companies.

8. Avoid Payroll Knowledge Walking Out the Door
If your bookkeeper or controller gets a new job, they will walk out the door with their knowledge of the payroll process and how you do it. Using an outside service eliminates that business risk.

Don’t go insane doing your own payroll, have someone else create saneness from your insanity!

Clowns, business, hippos and HR departments!

Two guys walks into a bar wearing arrows through their heads, purple suit vest covered with glow-in the dark yellow florescent flowers, orange baggy pants and huge red floppy shoes. They say to the bar tender “We’re here to see the manager”. The bar tender says; “What are you two, some kind of clowns?” The two guys say…….”No, we work for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Management”.

Some of you reading the above couldn’t see anything funny in the story. That’s because it just didn’t make sense that two guys with such a serious job would appear in public dresses so weirdly.
Most of you, when asked the question: describe the two guys, would talk about how the two guys were dressed and laugh that they were representing the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Management. That’s because; how they were dressed overpowered the position they represented.
These two guys might just really like dressing up as clowns. They might enjoy the attention they receive because of the way they dress. They may feel like it makes them stand out in a crowd thereby, messaging their own egos or individuality.

Why are we talking about all this? It’s because when someone is working for your company or organization, they represent you, not just themselves.

Ask yourself: When it comes to my employees, do they dress to represent the mission statement I have? Or do I just let it go?

Having to train a person to wear appropriate attire after they’ve worked a while with you, can be like house-breaking a hippopotamus. It can be done, but you have to put up with a lot of crap along the way.

That’s way using an outside service for your Human Resources Department like those offered by Teton Business Solutions in Flint, Michigan, can provide a solution that is comprehensive yet flexible in hiring, training, disciplining, firing and handling payroll. While some of you may want to maintain complete autonomy for some of your human resource functions, Teton Business Solutions can help you choose from an array of human resource services available.

Hiring
• Pre-employment screening (drug testing, background checks and employment verification)

• Salary surveys
• Employment agreements or offer letters
• Social Security verification
• New hire reporting

Disciplining, firing and employee grievances

• Alternate dispute resolution programs
• Consultation with certified human resource professionals

AND training seminars for your existing clowns! Oops, I mean employees!

Think about it! Wouldn’t it be great to get the giant hippo off your back that Human resource management brings, plus save BIG money doing it!

But, if you’re dead set into putting up with the FUNNY BUSINESS of managing your own HR, then be ready to put up with the clowns.

P.S. I know that your employees aren’t clowns, but you get the point.
