Goody Excuse goes to see her supervisor in the front office. "Boss," she says, "We're doing a Sweep Down, Down Town with our neighborhood association, Flint DNA this weekend and I’m going to need Saturday May 8th off.

"We're short-handed, Goody" the boss replies. "I can't give you the day off."

"Thanks, boss," says Goody Excuse "I knew I could count on you!"

But wait, did you also know that the Annual Flint River and Community Cleanup Celebration is set for 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 8 and that later in the day there’s a free concert at Good Beans Café!

Start getting your excuses ready for not taking part in this good excuse for meeting your neighbors, having some laughs, shaping your body for summer swim-wear by doing deep knee bends while picking up trash, enjoying a free concert and helping to clean-up our city’s streets.
